한화투자증권, 싱가포르법인 출범
한화투자증권, 싱가포르 법인 ‘Pinetree(파인트리) 증권’ 출범 ---------------------------------------------------------- □ 코로나19 악재에도 불구, 2020년 9월 싱가포르 통화청으로부터 최종인가 획득 □ 동남아에 유망한 대체투자상품, 비상장회사 등을 발굴해 글로벌 사업확장 추진 한화투자증권(대표이사 권희백)은 12월 1일 싱가포르법인 ‘Pinetree(파인트리) 증권’을 정식으로 출범한다. 파인트리는 ‘언제나 푸르른 소나무처럼 한결같이 고객에게 투자기회를 제공하고, 숲이 형성될 때 처음 뿌리내리는 소나무와 같이 적극적으로 신규시장을 개척하겠다’라는 의미를 담고 있다. 한화투자증권은 본격적인 동남아 시장 진출을 위해 2019년 4월 베트남 현지법인을 인수 후 두번째로 같은 해 11월 싱가포르에 신설법인을 설립했다. 싱가포르 법인은 코로나19 영향으로 2개월 간 Lock Down(Circuit Breaker, 이동제한령)이 되는 악재에도 불구하고 싱가포르 통화청(Monetary Authority of Singapore)으로부터 2020년 6월 금융투자업 예비인가와 9월 최종인가를 획득했다. 한국계 증권사로는 싱가포르에서 세번째다. 싱가포르 법인은 향후 동남아에서 유망한 대체투자상품, 비상장회사 등을 발굴해 글로벌 사업확장을 추진할 예정이다. 또한 이미 현지에 투자한 CapBridge (Pre-IPO상품, 블록체인 기반 플랫폼), Tech in Asia (디지털 언론사)등과 협력해 비즈니스 디지털화를 가속하고, 새로운 먹거리를 발굴할 예정이다. 한화투자증권 권희백 대표이사는 “동남아 금융 및 디지털의 중심지인 싱가포르에서 경쟁력을 확보해 궁극적으로 한화투자증권의 동남아 진출 허브로 자리잡도록 노력할 것” 이라고 밝혔다.
