Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below shows the time slots that are reserved - not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor if the final exam for a course will be conducted during this time.

Be sure to read all the Goethe exam rules and conditions and guidelines on each exam page before registering. Also, be sure to sign up for the right exam level.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification tests. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and przepisy Kategorii a1 conditions and exam material. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness, visual or hearing impairment, you should contact the exam provider directly and be sure to provide a detailed document upon registration.

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes the option of "View My Teaching Schedule", szkoła nauki jazdy a1 which allows faculty to find their exam schedules. Additionally the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for Przepisy Kategorii A1 courses in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class time of the final exam weeks.

Registration

The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are encouraged to consult it. It is important to keep in mind that the schedule for exams may be altered at any time. For this reason, students should consult with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should be certain to print the official list and bring it to their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students must familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, terms and conditions. These are available on the individual exam page. Upon registration, students acknowledge that they agree to these conditions and terms.

Exam sites try their best to accommodate participants who have special requirements. The nature and severity of these requirements must be declared on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation of a doctor. The exam locations must also be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.

If a student has three exams scheduled for the same day, it is suggested that they contact their instructor or department to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to have three exams on the same day. However, this could cause a lot of stress and impact the quality. The instructor may not be able to offer a makeup test on another day.

Before taking the test Students must prepare for the exam by studying their course material and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that assesses the ability to speak, read and write in German. The exam results are reported on a scale of Przepisy kategorii a1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has achieved the level of language zasady kategorii a1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence that is set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students are required to carry an ID that is valid for government purposes to the exam. Those who do not have a valid photo ID are disqualified from the exam.

Fees

You will have to pay an examination fee for the opportunity to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This fee is in addition to the cost of the course.

Practice assessments provide you with an overview of the style and wording, as well as the level of questions on the exam. They help you assess your knowledge, identify gaps and increase your chances of passing the test.

Please note that the exam fee is not refundable. Exam results are only emailed and not via telephone.
